Old Providence

I was looking through my hard drive and found this old photos we took in 2003 in Old Providence (A tiny island in the Caribbean with a very particular culture and way of life). I have the best memories from there and really hope to go back.
I took the two on the left with an Olympus trip, slide film and forced process. The right one was taken by Daniel with a Pentax K1000 and slide film.

A lovely book!

I recently bought Camilla Engman's book. I knew it would be beautiful coming from her but it's vert exciting with that insert Morran little book, some postcards etc. I am enjoying it so much!
Go to her shop to see it in more detail.
She posted in her blog a photo I sent her of Moran in Sydney.

I was walking around Balmain the other day and couldn't let this beautiful wall go by. That's why I love Sydney so much.

Metrocable

I have been a bit homesick lately....
This is a drawing of one of the 'comunas' (known in other places as fabelas or slums) in Medellín. In recent years there has been a beautiful social change and they have become a much better place for people to live in. Beautiful libraries and great transportation systems as the Metrocable have been built and are driving this change.

Picture Pig

The Picture Pig gang were so kind inviting me to be part of it. I'm so proud to be in such good company!

My Lucky Card

We just came back from our long vacations. We had a lovely time with family and friends back home and will be hard to get the rithm again.
While being there I got to go to the Hartas Artistas exhibition in Medellín and finally met PowerPaola in person!
Daniel and I bought a card for a raffle.... Even though I never win anything this time we picked the lucky card, 3 of spades, and won an incredible drawing by Juana Newman.
I thought I should draw the card...

Colombia is back!

Photo taken from the Lonely Planet website

I was doing some research in Lonely Planet for a job today and had a nice surprise when I saw the Colombia guide used for a promotional on the home page (Colombia's guide hasn't been very popular in the past years as people think the country is too dangerous to visit).
I got curious and searched for Colombia on the destinations (still in Lonely Planet) and felt SUPER PROUD to find the title 'Colombia is back' and a very nice and true introduction...
I would love my friends to read it and see there is a reason why I can't stop talking about my country.
I wouldn't mind doing this 'From Panama to Colombia... by boat' trip on my next visit which is comming soon, but I suffer badly from motion sickness.
